Method
Our method is the first in the world to structure a dance trick class, recognizing this discipline as a distinct field within the arts of movement. It is essential to understand that dance tricks constitute a specialty in itself, with unique characteristics that set them apart from other forms of partner work. While they may share similarities with other techniques, their development requires a specific approach that addresses their unique dynamics and objectives.
We define dance tricks as movements designed for exhibition before global audiences, performed by two or more individuals. They are applicable to all dance styles and are intended for the “all-around” dancer of these times.
Creating a structure for a dance trick class was a challenge for us due to the lack of clear or prior references for this technique. After developing this structure, we now wish to share the Dance Partner Method with the world, which stands out for providing experiences that facilitate results. Dance is a discipline that demands dedication and perseverance, but it also requires a deep understanding of what we are doing, especially when working with another person. Our method serves as an ABC, organizing all the essential information and elements that make up a dance trick, addressing the movements in all their learning facets: emotional, intellectual, and physical.
If you would like to explore our teaching method, you have three options:
– In-person training: where we dive deeper into the method and combine theory with practical application.
– Our interactive digital book: a comprehensive tool to study and refine the discipline from anywhere in the world.
– Online Dance Tricks Training: a training program designed to help you learn and develop the discipline at your own pace, with access from anywhere in the world. Discover the program and access the complete training directly through our online store.
